English Speaking Notaire
If you are contemplating buying or selling a property in France you will come into contact with a Nataire. They are a government official responsible for registering the change of ownership and collecting any taxes due on the transaction not to be confused with the roll of a Solicitor or Conveyancing Clark. The same Notaire can be used by the buyer and the seller and they tend to work in specific geographical areas although you can choose to use an out of area Notaire for example if you wish to be able to communicate in your native language.
The Notaires web site allows you to choose a location and your preferred language to search their data base of Notaires.
